Expert Australian Migration & Visa Services in Thailand

We are the n°1 Australian Migration experts in Thailand

Getting an Australian visa approved from Thailand requires more than completing the right forms. It requires choosing the correct visa category for your circumstances, meeting the evidentiary standards the Department of Home Affairs expects, and submitting an application that gives you the best possible chance of success the first time around.

Australian Visas Thailand is led by Simon Wetherell, a registered migration agent and former Australian legal practitioner who has specialised in Australian visas in Thailand for over a decade. Whether you're a Thai national applying for the first time or an Australian expat helping a partner through the process, the team has the expertise and the local presence to guide you through every stage.

Which visa pathway is right for you?

Australia has dozens of active visa subclasses, and the differences between them matter. For Thai nationals in a relationship with an Australian citizen or permanent resident, the partner visa and the marriage visa are two of the most frequently lodged visa types, each with distinct eligibility criteria, application processes, and expected timelines.

Beyond family migration, Australian Visas Thailand also handles tourist visas, student visas, skilled migration, and permanent residency applications. Before you apply, it's worth understanding which visa type fits your actual situation, because applying for the wrong one can result in a refusal that follows your record.

What makes applying from Thailand different?

Lodging an Australian visa application from Thailand comes with its own set of considerations. Supporting documents are typically required in English, which means certified translations are often part of the process. Communication with the Department of Home Affairs is conducted in English and can move quickly, so having a migration agent who can respond on your behalf matters considerably. The evidence standards for relationship and family visas in particular can be extensive, and knowing what to include and how to present it is where professional assistance makes a measurable difference to the outcome.

As an Australian migration agent in Thailand, Simon Wetherell and his team work across Bangkok, Phuket, and Pattaya, providing bilingual support in English and Thai. Every application is handled personally by a qualified lawyer and registered migration agent, not passed along to a junior administrator. Simon holds MARA registration number 1464995 and has been admitted to practice law in Australia, England and Wales, and the Cayman Islands, which means your application is held to the same professional and legal standards required under Australian law.

A complete Australian visa service, from Thailand

Australian Visas Thailand covers the full range of visa types available to Thai nationals and foreign nationals based in Thailand. The most common applications the team handles include tourist and visitor visas, partner and marriage visas, student visas, employer-sponsored skilled worker visas, and permanent residency pathways including the resident return visa for those who have been abroad for an extended period. Whatever your situation, the starting point is a free consultation to find the right path forward.
